MEET JOEL
Joel has spent years working to make The Colony a better place. He was instrumental in the development of Grandscape, has been a strong proponent of our fire and police departments, and has dedicated his time to serving on the Parks & Recreation Board and the Board of Adjustment and Appeals before joining City Council.
Today, Joel proudly serves as Mayor Pro Tem, bringing experience, knowledge, and a deep understanding of our city to the decisions that shape The Colony’s future.
With decades of experience and a proven commitment to our community, Joel is ready to keep working for the residents of The Colony.
" Joel Marks has been my city council person for a long time. I will say that whenever I text him a question or concern, he replies very quickly. he either answers or connects me to the relevant person to get answers. he's very invested in TC.

I am proud to support the re-election of Mayor Pro Tem Joel Marks for City Council Place 6 in the November 3 election.
As one of the longest-serving council members in the history of our city, Joel brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to the City Council. I’ve had the opportunity to work closely alongside him and have always found him willing to listen to all sides of an issue and he is always focused on what he believes is in the best interest of the residents of Place 6.
Joel is a staunch supporter of our public safety first responders and has been an involved resident of The Colony since 1980. He has experienced the many changes our community has gone through over the years and remains dedicated to moving our city forward.
I encourage my friends and neighbors in Place 6 to vote to re-elect Joel Marks on November 3.
"
